Mascot students are aged between 4 years and 10 Years of age. This rank was designed to enable the Junior students to regularly be rewarded for their good behaviour and build their self esteem through discipline and their own personal achievements. This includes learning to teach the younger and older students Mascots are graded by Ichinin every 10th Lesson to begin with or until Ichinin believes  they are ready to grade. They then receive a colour grading certificate and matching  Coloured belt. There are a total of 15 grades, including 2 Kata's, before they can achieve a Mascot Instructors belt (half red Half Black ) and then they must grade to the same level as a  junior blue belt white Stripe student  and  teach unassisted. Ichinin does not believe in grading any student under the age of 10years to the rank of Black Belt. Mascot Instructors receive all the respect that a Junior or Senior black belt receives. Id Cards All students, with the exception of those awarded Assistant status, wear photo identification  enabling all instructors and parents to be able to identify them easily.
